No person shall possess, sell, distribute or transport any alcoholic beverages in the Township of Waterford in violation of Revised Statutes, Title 33, Chapter
1, known as the "Alcoholic Beverage Law."
For the purpose of this Article, the terms used herein are defined as
follows:
PERSON
A person of either sex, or a firm, corporation, club or association
to be licensed under the provisions of said Act.
All applications for such licenses shall be in the form required by
law and as prepared and furnished by the Clerk of the Township of Waterford,
and all licensees shall comply with the terms of said Act and be subject to
the terms and provisions thereof and of this Article.

License fees to be paid shall be as follows:
A. The license fees for plenary retail consumption, plenary
distribution and club licenses shall be as set by the Township Fee Schedule
Ordinance.
B. The license fee for each and every plenary distribution
license shall be as set by the Township Fee Schedule Ordinance.
C. For each and every club license, a fee as set by the
Township Fee Schedule Ordinance. There shall not be more than two club licenses in the Township.

A. No licensees hereunder shall serve any alcoholic beverage
on a New Year's Day between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. and
on other days between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
B. No licensees hereunder shall operate or keep lighted
up or open for business any place so licensed on a New Year's Day between
the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. and on other days between the hours of
3:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

No person shall sell or offer or expose for sale or barter or suffer
to be sold or offered for sale or barter or give or serve any alcoholic beverage
to any person under the legal age for purchasing alcoholic beverages.
Every license shall be exposed to public view in a conspicuous place
in the place licensed, and any omission so to do shall be presumptive evidence
that the place where alcoholic beverages are being sold, offered or exposed
for sale or barter is unlicensed.
Any person who shall, in violation of the terms of this Article, use
or maintain any store, dwelling or other building for the sale or exposure
for sale of any alcoholic beverage or who shall sell or offer or expose for
sale or barter or suffer to be sold or offered to be sold or bartered any
alcoholic beverage in violation of this Article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and punished by a fine of not less than $50 and not more than $250 or imprisonment
for not less than 10 days and not more than 90 days, or both.
Every such license shall be signed by the Chairman of the Township Committee
and the Clerk of the Township.
All applications for licenses under this Article and all licenses issued hereunder and proceedings in connection herewith shall be subject to the statute referred to in §
82-1 of this Article and the rules and regulations enacted by the Director of the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control of New Jersey, whether now in existence or those which may hereinafter be enacted affecting the subject matters of this Article.
