The term of office of the Village Mayor commencing with the successor of the present incumbent shall be four years.
The term of office of the Village Trustees commencing with the successors of the present incumbents shall be four years, and the term of office of the Village Justice shall be four years, except as hereinafter provided. If the term of office of any elected official in office at the time of the adoption of this Article shall expire in a year which would require an election to be held in a year other than biennial, the successor of such official shall be elected for a term of five years.
A. 
Henceforth, Village elections shall be held biennially in even-numbered years, and all elected officials of the Village of Albion shall be elected for terms of four years, except as hereinafter provided.
B. 
If the term of any elected official in office at the time of the adoption of this Article shall expire in a year which would require an election to be held in a year other than biennially in even-numbered years, an election shall be held in such year, and there shall be elected to such office a successor for a term to commence upon the expiration of the term of such incumbent, and to end at noon, on the first Monday in the month following the Village election in the fifth calendar year following, and the successors of such officials so elected shall be elected for terms of four official years.
