The Code Enforcement Officer is hereby authorized and empowered to make inspections in multiple dwellings, apartment houses and business structures so as to determine, among other things:
A. 
Operating condition of boilers and devices connected therewith.
B. 
Operating condition of oil and/or gas burners and devices connected therewith.
C. 
Operating condition of incinerators and devices connected therewith.
D. 
Operating condition of compactors and devices connected therewith.
E. 
Operating condition of fire and safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, fire escapes and sprinkler systems.
F. 
Operating condition of elevators and all apparatus used in connection therewith.
G. 
Compliance with all pertinent provisions of this Code and any other rules and regulations pertaining to the construction, maintenance and occupancy of said structures.
H. 
Compliance with Nassau County and/or Town of Oyster Bay rules and regulations, insofar as the same are applicable to buildings and structures in the Village.

A. 
The Code Enforcement Officer is hereby authorized and empowered to demand, and any owner lessee or other person in charge of any multiple dwelling, apartment house or business structure shall furnish, a separate written inspection report or certificate, issued by a duly qualified person on behalf of the owner, lessee or other person in charge of the aforesaid buildings and structures, certifying to the condition of the items of equipment described above and contained therein, which said report or certificate shall be filed with the Code Enforcement Officer within 30 days after such inspection of said buildings and structures. In any event, separate written inspection reports or certificates shall be filed with the Code Enforcement Officer between June 1 and July 1 of each year, on an annual basis.
B. 
The Code Enforcement Officer is authorized and empowered to make or cause to be made, at any time, inspections of said buildings and structures for the purpose of certifying the accuracy of the inspection reports and certificates.
