Pursuant to Public Act 80-477,[1] the First Selectman is hereby authorized and directed to license purchasers of gold, gold-plated ware, silver, silver-plated ware, platinum ware, watches, jewelry, precious stones or coins and to require such information from license applicants as he deems appropriate or necessary or as may be recommended by the Connecticut State Police. At such time as a Chief of Police is designated to serve, then such license function shall be performed by him.

The licensee shall pay such fee as provided by such statute as it may be amended from time to time.
