The enforcement official is hereby authorized
and directed to make inspections to determine the conditions of rooming,
multifamily, rental residential units, and other residential units
upon their resale, or rerental, located within the Township of Burlington,
in order that he may perform his duties of safekeeping the health
and safety of the occupants of rooming, multifamily, rental and residential
units. For the purpose of making such inspections, the enforcement
official is hereby authorized to enter, examine and survey during
normal Township business hours, all rooming, multifamily, rental and
residential units.

A. The rental property inspection fees for a single-family house, townhouse
and a condominium unit shall be $100, with a reinspection fee of $50.
The fee for an apartment inspection shall be $50, with a $50 reinspection
fee.

B. Resale inspection fees for a single-family house, townhouse and a
condominium unit shall be $100, with a reinspection fee of $50. The
fee for a unit of affordable housing shall be $50, with a $20 reinspection
fee.

C. Certificate of occupancy is valid for 60 days after date of issuance.
D. Chimney certificates and heater certificates are required for the
resale and/or rental of all single-family units, townhouses, and condominium
properties prior to issuance of certificates of occupancy.

E. The fee
for an expedited inspection to be performed within five days of the
request for the inspection shall be $200.

F. If reinspection
is not completed within 60 days of the original inspection, a new
inspection and payment of the inspection fee will be required.
