No person shall detain or fail to return any library material
of any type that has been borrowed. Notice shall be sent 3 days before
the due date. If the material is not returned 7 days after the due
date another notice is sent. If the material is not returned after
21 days another notice is sent out. If the material is not returned
30 days after the due date, the library considers the person bought
the material and their library privileges are suspended until they
either return the material or pay for it.
No person shall willfully or maliciously destroy any library
materials.
No person, with intent to defraud, shall register or furnish
a false name or address, or use any card other than the one issued
to said person for the purpose of borrowing library materials from
the library, nor shall any person allow the use of his or her library
card by another individual. The obtaining of any library material
or any other article by means of the registration or furnishing of
a false name or address or the use of a card other than the one issued
to said person shall be prima facie evidence of intent to defraud.
The Trustees of the Free Public Library of the Township of Wayne
shall adopt and post, in a conspicuous place in the Wayne Public Library
building, rules, regulations, and procedures governing the borrowing
of library material which may be available for such borrowing to the
public.
No person shall remove any book, library material from the Wayne
Public Library building without complying with the rules, regulations
and procedures of the library for borrowing such items or articles.
