Storage in storage containers located on residential properties, when used in conjunction with the renovation or reconstruction of a single-family dwelling and being performed in accordance with an active construction permit, shall be permitted, provided that the Construction Official authorizes the use of such temporary storage container. Temporary storage that is non construction related shall be subject to the provisions of Chapter
134, Section
134-67.
A. The storage container shall be located on the site of the existing
dwelling to be renovated or reconstructed. No storage container shall
be located within 10 feet of any property line unless it is located
completely within a paved driveway.
B. No more than one storage container shall be permitted on the residential
property at any one time. The storage container shall not be larger
than 20 feet by eight feet. The storage container shall not be mounted
on wheels.
C. The Construction Official shall charge a fee, as provided in Chapter
75, Fees, for each permit and each extension issued, pursuant to this section.
