There is hereby created a Senior Citizens Advisory
Committee, consisting of 12 persons and two alternates who shall organize
themselves in such a manner as is deemed by such Committee to be most
appropriate to accomplish its purposes.

The Council shall appoint four persons and two
alternates 55 years or over. Appointments shall be for two-year periods,
except for the Presidents of AARP and the Wethersfield Senior Citizens
Club, which shall be for one-year terms, and the Council shall have
authority to make appointments under this section in such manner as
will provide for the expiration of two terms on June 30 of each calendar
year.
The Senior Citizens Advisory Committee shall
conduct inquiries into the needs of senior citizens in the Town. At
least once a year, and more often if necessary, the Committee shall
report to the Council on the state and lot of older persons in the
Town, along with recommendations for programs for consideration by
the total community.
