The Fire Commission shall be responsible and subordinate to the Board of Selectmen in all matters except those set forth in Article III as to which the Fire Commission shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
The Fire Commission shall have such powers and
duties, not inconsistent with this ordinance, as may from time to
time be conferred upon the Fire Commission and Fire Department by
the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut and in general shall
provide protection to inhabitants and property of the Town of Wilton
from fire, explosion and similar hazards.
