[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Westbury 4-12-1993
as L.L. No. 1-1993 (Ch. 8A of the 1964 Code). Amendments

The Central Business Improvement District of the Village of Westbury
shall be and hereby is established in the Village of Westbury, the Board of
Trustees having found that the establishment of the district is in the public
interest, that all notice, mailing and hearing requirements have been complied
with, that all properties located within the district will benefit from its
establishment and that all property benefited is included in the boundaries
of the district. The boundaries of said district, as set forth on Exhibits
1 and 2 attached,[1] are contained in the amended district plan adopted by resolution
of the Board of Trustees on January 25, 1993.

The construction improvements and provision of services within the district
shall be pursuant to such district plan for the Central Business District
of the Village of Westbury, hereinafter referred to as the "BID." All said
services shall be in addition to, and not a substitution for, required municipal
services provided by the Village of Westbury on a village-wide basis.

To the extent not otherwise explicitly provided herein,
the provisions set forth in Article 19-A of the General Municipal Law shall
govern the operation of the BID and the District Management Association in
the village.

Insofar as the provisions of this chapter are inconsistent
with the provisions of any other local law or act, the provisions of this
chapter shall be controlling.
Any amendments to the BID or the BID plan shall be made in accordance
with the provisions set forth in § 980-i of Article 19-A of the
General Municipal Law.
This chapter shall become effective upon compliance with the requirements
set forth in § 980-g of Article 19-A of the General Municipal Law
and upon compliance with the filing requirements of the Municipal Home Rule
Law and all other requirements of law.[1]
