The charge for discharging industrial wastes conforming to §§ 172-10 to 172-21 has been defined in the Ordinance Providing for the Implementation of a Sewer User Charge for the Town of Stratford, Connecticut.[1] These rates will be utilized to determine sewer charges.

The charge for discharging industrial wastes admitted under § 172-23 shall be subject to determination after a review of the character of the wastes to be directed to the Town wastewater facility.
The charges fixed by the Ordinance Providing for Implementation of a Sewer User Charge for the Town of Stratford, Connecticut,[1] shall be payable and billed quarterly on the first day of January, April, July and October of each year and shall be a lien upon the premises connected with a sewer system until paid.

The Superintendent has the legal authority to assess 1/2 a unit, as defined by the Sewer User Charge Ordinance,[1] or 5% of the actual bill penalty, whichever is greater, to anyone filing incomplete, untimely, inaccurate information on the user charge verification form or for late payment of bills, greater than 30 days. This will be automatically added to the quarterly sewer use bill.

An inspection fee of $15 for an industrial sewer connection permit shall be paid to the Tax Collector at the time the application is filed.
