Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-141, there be and is hereby
created the position of Tax Collector of the Township of West Amwell, Hunterdon
County, New Jersey.
The term of said Tax Collector shall be for four years, beginning January
1 next following his or her appointment.
The salary and compensation of the Tax Collector shall be fixed and
determined by the governing body at the beginning of said term, on January
1 of each year.
The Tax Collector shall have the authority to collect and give receipts
for tax payments that are made and to perform all other duties as provided
by statute.
The Tax Collector shall give bond for the faithful performance of his
or her duties in such sum, in such form and with such sureties as the governing
body shall approve.
