Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-9, there be and is hereby
created the position of Assistant Collector of Taxes of the Township of West
Amwell, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
The term of said Assistant Collector of Taxes shall be for one year,
beginning January 1 of each year.
The salary and compensation of the Assistant Collector of Taxes shall
be fixed and determined by the governing body at the beginning of said term,
on January 1 of each year.
The Assistant Collector of Taxes shall have the authority to collect
and give receipts for tax payments that are made and to assist the Collector
of Taxes in the performance of the duties of that office.
The Assistant Collector of Taxes shall give bond for the faithful performance
of his duties in such sum, in such form and with such sureties as the governing
body shall approve.
