There shall be a Department of Police, the head of which shall be the Chief of Police, appointed by the Manager. Prior to his appointment, the Chief of Police shall be qualified through training and experience in law enforcement. He shall supervise all employees within his Department, including special police and school crossing guards. The Department shall be responsible for the following:
A. 
Keeping the public peace.
B. 
Controlling traffic.
C. 
Controlling public nuisances.
D. 
Dispatching within the Galloway Township Police Department.
E. 
Controlling animals.
F. 
Enforcing all federal, state, county and municipal laws and ordinances.
