It shall be unlawful for any person to tattoo a human being or for any person, firm or corporation to conduct the business of tattooing within the Borough of Paramus, New Jersey, except that tattooing may be performed for medical purposes by a physician licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey.

Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000, imprisonment not exceeding 90 days and/or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days. Each day's operation in violation of this chapter shall constitute a separate violation. Each act of tattooing shall constitute a separate violation.
