Whenever any words and phrases are used in this
chapter, the meanings respectively ascribed to them in Subtitle 1
of Title 39 of the New Jersey Revised Statutes shall be deemed to
apply to such words and phrases used herein.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Any vehicle that operates, either partially or exclusively,
on electrical energy from the grid, or an off-board source, that is
stored on-board for motive purpose. "Electric vehicle" includes:

A.
A battery electric vehicle;
B.
A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle;
C.
A neighborhood electric vehicle; and
D.
A medium-speed electric vehicle.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE SUPPLY EQUIPMENT (EVSE)
Electric charging facilities for electric vehicles, commonly
consisting of a connection to the electrical grid, power supply cables,
a mount, and connection to vehicle. An EVSE shall be comprised of
all equipment that connects a motorized electric vehicle to the electrical
grid.

All former traffic ordinances of the City of
Pleasantville are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not
affect or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for
any act done or committed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed
prior to the taking effect of this chapter.
If any part or parts of this chapter are held
to be invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this chapter.
Unless another penalty is expressly provided
by a New Jersey statute, every person convicted of a violation of
a provision of this chapter or any supplement thereto shall be liable
to a penalty of not more than $50 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding
15 days or both.
