No person shall engage in hunting for game with firearms or weapons
of any description during either the open or closed seasons within the territorial
limits of the Borough, provided that this prohibition shall not apply to persons
engaged in target practice by the use of bow and arrow.
No person shall discharge, set off or fire any gun, pistol or firearm,
except as used against rats, vermin or predatory animals on property owned
or leased by him, or any rocket, firecrackers, torpedo, squib or other fireworks
or combustible thing in any street or public or private place in the Borough,
unless specifically authorized in writing by the Chief of Police or other
officer in charge of the Police Department; but in no instance shall the Chief
of Police or the officer in charge authorize the discharge of any weapon which
is illegal to discharge by any other law.

Fireworks shall be regulated as provided in Article 27 of the BOCA Basic/National
Fire Prevention Code/1984.
Within the meaning of this chapter, the carrying of a loaded rifle,
shotgun or pistol within the Borough shall be deemed prima facie evidence
of hunting therein.

A. Maximum penalty. For violation of any provision of this chapter, the maximum fine shall be in accordance with §
1-15 of this Code.

B. Separate violations. Except as otherwise provided, each
and every day in which a violation of any provision of this chapter exists
shall constitute a separate violation.
C. Application. The maximum penalty stated in this section
is not intended to state an appropriate penalty for each and every violation.
Any lesser penalty, including a nominal penalty or no penalty at all, may
be appropriate for a particular case or violation.
