The following township highways situate in the
Township of Franconia are hereby designated "limited use highways"
upon which the weight of vehicles is restricted:
A.
Halteman Road, from Allentown Road to School House
Road: motor vehicles, trailers and semitrailers weighing in excess
of eight tons gross weight.
B.
Orchard Lane from Mill Road to the Franconia - Lower
Salford Township boundary line: motor vehicles, trailers and semitrailers
weighing in excess of eight tons gross weight.
The highways hereby established as limited use
highways shall be designated as to the restrictions applicable by
erecting and maintaining official signs placed on such highways at
each end of that portion of the highway affected.
Any person operating a vehicle or combination
in violation of the provisions of this article is guilty of a summary
offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of
$75 for each 500 pounds, or part thereof, in excess of 3,000 pounds
over the maximum allowable weight.
