There is herewith established a Building Board
of Appeals whose duties and functions shall be to review and rule
upon proper applications from rulings or actions of the Somers Building
Inspector in accordance with provisions of the General Statutes of
the State of Connecticut and the Basic Building Code of the State
of Connecticut.
The members of the Building Board of Appeals shall choose a Chairman and a Secretary from its members by ballot. The Secretary shall keep a record of the Board's meetings and correspondence. Members shall serve with no compensation, except as specified in Section
5-4(c) of the Town of Somers Charter. The Board shall keep records of its meetings and activities and shall make an annual report to the Board of Selectmen in the manner required of other town agencies.
