This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "City of Auburn Schedule of Fees Ordinance."

The following fees shall be paid at the office of Code Enforcement upon the filing of an application for a building permit:

A basic fee of $40 plus the following applicable fee:

The following fees shall be paid at the office of the Code Enforcement Officer upon the filing of an application for a certificate of occupancy:

The following fees shall be paid at the office of the Building Inspector upon the filing of any of the following applications:
A. 
Special use permit: $50 per application.
B. 
Special use permit, conversion: $50 plus $25 for each unit over two.
C. 
Variance (area or use): $50 per application.
D. 
Any other application requiring Zoning or Planning Board action: $50 per application.
E. 
Zoning compliance certificate: $15.

The following fees shall be paid at the Office of Code Enforcement:
A. 
Permit fees, to be paid upon the filing of a permit:
(1) 
Residential: $10, plus $2 per fixture.
(2) 
Commercial: $40, plus $2 per fixture.
B. 
Annual license fees:
(1) 
Master plumber license: $200.
(2) 
Journeyman plumber license: $50.
(3) 
Apprentice plumber license: $20.
(4) 
Inactive plumber: $20.
(5) 
Drain layers: $100.
C. 
Certificate of competency examination fees:
(1) 
Master plumber: $100.
(2) 
Drain layer: $100.

A. 
All property owners and/or other responsible parties who have been duly served with an appearance ticket pursuant to Chapter 5 of the City Code and are required to appear in court for the violation(s) set forth therein shall be required to pay a mandatory administrative fee for each and every appearance that is required.
B. 
Said fee shall not apply in instances where the judge makes a determination that there was no legal basis for the service of the appearance ticket and dismisses the case. Said fee shall be separate and independent from any fines and penalties imposed by the court resulting from the violation(s) set forth in the appearance ticket.
C. 
Said fee shall be payable to the City of Auburn Treasurer at the time of each court appearance in an amount to be set by the City of Auburn Fee Schedule, which is on file in the City offices.
