Between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. no pedestrian
shall cross any street in the congested district as established in
§ 60.5 except at or upon such designated crossings or to reach designated safety zones established pursuant to §
285-4 of this chapter.
After removal of any vehicle as provided in
this article, the Police Department may store such vehicle in a suitable
place at the expense of the owner. Such owner, or person in charge
of the vehicle, may redeem the same upon payment to the towing company
of the amount of all expenses actually and necessarily incurred in
effecting such removal.
The members of the Police Department causing
such removal shall without delay report the removal and the disposition
of any vehicle removed as provided in this article to the Police Department,
and it shall be the duty of such Police Department to ascertain to
the extent possible the owner of the vehicle or person having the
same in charge and notify him or her of the removal and disposition
of such vehicle and of the amount which will be required to redeem
the same.
Disposition of all abandoned vehicles shall
be made by the Chief of Police in accordance with § 1224
of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

A. A truck route system has been developed, upon which
all trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations having a combined
gross weight of vehicle plus load in excess of five tons are permitted
to travel and operate on the following highways:

B. All trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations having a combined gross weight of vehicle plus load in excess of five tons are hereby excluded from all highways within the City except for those highways listed in Subsection
A, except that this exclusion shall not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property along any highway from which such vehicles and combinations are excluded. However, such exception shall require that any such delivery or pickup of merchandise be made along a route incorporating the shortest direct route possible from the designated truck route system.
C. Governmental and public utility vehicles or any vehicles used for the purpose of public conveyance will be specifically exempt from the weight restrictions otherwise imposed on City streets as set forth in Subsection
B hereof.

D. All tractors and tractor-trailer combinations, tractor
semitrailer combinations and tractor-trailer semitrailer combinations
are hereby prohibited from parking upon any highway within the City
unless actually engaged in the delivery or pickup of goods or merchandise.

E. Agricultural vehicles will be specifically exempt on City streets, as set forth in Subsection
B hereof, on Dunning Avenue, Columbus Street and North Division Street only.

F. Business deliveries.

(1) All trucks and tractor-trailer combinations having a combined gross weight of vehicle plus load in excess of five tons owned and/or operated by a company with its principal place of business located within the County of Cayuga, but outside the corporate limits of the City of Auburn, entering the City of Auburn for commercial delivery of materials and/or products to job sites or businesses located within the City of Auburn are exempt from the weight restrictions otherwise imposed on City streets as set forth in Subsection
B hereof.
(2) Companies using this exception granted by this Subsection
F are required to have a copy of an invoice or work order containing the address the delivery is being made to and the specific products or materials being delivered.

No person shall park any vehicle in the space
between the sidewalk and the curb of any street.
