GENERAL REFERENCES

Pursuant to the provisions contained in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code[1] and in order to carry the said provisions into effect, there is hereby created in the Township of Antrim, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, a Planning Commission. Said Commission shall have all the powers and duties conferred upon it by law and any other powers vested in it by law or ordinance as regulated by the Township of Antrim.

The Antrim Township Planning Commission shall consist of five members, who shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors of Antrim Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. Each member now on the Commission shall serve until the end of his or her appointment, and thereafter each member appointed or reappointed shall be appointed for a term of four years or until his or her successor is appointed and qualified, except that the terms of no more than two members shall be replaced or reappointed during any year. If a vacancy shall occur otherwise than by expiration of term, it shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term.
All of the members of the Antrim Township Planning Commission shall be residents of the Township of Antrim, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
A member of the Antrim Township Planning Commission shall hold no other office except that of a member of the Antrim Township Zoning Hearing Board.
A. 
The Antrim Township Planning Commission shall make an annual report to the Antrim Township Supervisors showing its transactions and recommendations. It shall also make available to the Supervisors a copy of the minutes of each of its meetings.
B. 
It may employ engineers, technicians and other persons, with the approval of the Supervisors. The salaries and wages of those employed, and other necessary expenses of the Commission, after approved by the Supervisors, shall be provided for through proper appropriation by the Township Supervisors
C. 
It may contract for professional planning services, the costs and expenses of which, when approved by the Supervisors, shall be provided for through proper appropriations by the Supervisors.
D. 
The Commission may also receive and expend, for the purposes of its planning and zoning work, any gifts, grants and appropriations of local funds and may contract with governmental or private agencies or individuals with respect thereto with approval of the Supervisors.
The Planning Commission shall prepare and present to the Supervisors land subdivision regulations. The Commission shall assist the Supervisors in administering said regulations by reviewing and recommending to the Supervisors action to be taken on the subdivisions submitted in accordance with established procedures.[1]
