This chapter is enacted for the purpose of assuring sites suitable for
building purposes and human habitation and to provide for the harmonious development
of Antrim Township; for adequate open space for traffic, recreation, light
and air, sedimentation and water management control facilities; for proper
distribution of population; and conformance with Chapter
150, Zoning, thereby
creating conditions favorable to the health, safety, morals and general welfare
of the citizens of Antrim Township.
The provisions of this chapter shall be held to be a minimum requirement
to meet the above stated purposes. Where the provisions of this chapter impose
greater restrictions than those of any statute, other ordinance or regulations,
the provisions of this chapter shall prevail. Where the provisions of any
statute, other ordinance or regulations impose greater restrictions than those
of this chapter, the provisions of such statute, ordinance or regulations
shall prevail.
Nothing contained in this chapter shall relieve the owner or developer
from complying with the applicable provisions of Chapter
150, Zoning. It is
the expressed intent of the Township that this chapter and Chapter
150, Zoning
be mutually reinforcing and together foster the stated planning goals and
objectives of the Township.
This chapter may be cited as the "Antrim Township Subdivision and Land
Development Ordinance."
