This article is enacted pursuant to the authority
of Subdivision 1 of § 10 of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
The office of Receiver of Taxes, having become
an appointive position within the Town of Southeast on January 1,
1982, by virtue of a resolution duly adopted by the Town Board on
July 25, 1981, subject to permissive referendum and no referendum
having been called, § 24 of the Town Law is hereby amended
and superseded in its application to the Town of Southeast to provide
that the appointive Receiver of Taxes shall serve a term of appointment
of four years.
