The Village Clerk is hereby instructed to file
a certified copy of this chapter in the principal office of the New
York State Building Code Council, Division of Housing and Community
Renewal.

A Board of Review shall be established for the
purpose of granting variances where enforcement of any provision or
requirement of the State Fire Prevention Code results in practical
difficulties or unnecessary hardships. Any such variance shall be
consistent with the spirit of the Code and shall not be inconsistent
with Subdivision 2 of § 391 of the Executive Law.

The Board of Review shall be composed of five
persons, consisting of the Board of Trustees of the Village. The Mayor
shall be the Chairman and shall preside at all meetings.

The Board of Review may adopt regulations governing
its procedures and appropriate forms for efficient administration.

The Fire Inspector shall obtain copies of the
Board of Review's decisions for his records.

A certificate of compliance to ensure compliance
with all the requirements of this Code and the New York State Uniform
Fire Prevention and Building Code shall be required for all uses and
occupancies of property other than one- and two-family dwellings and
not-for-profit organizations. Such certificate shall not take the
place of any other permit or certificate required by law. Said certificate
shall not be transferable, and any change in use or occupancy of the
subject premises shall require a new certificate.

Fees for certificates of compliance for new
or changed uses and inspection fees payable for the various specific
uses subject to inspection by the Fire Inspector and/or Assistant
Fire Inspector are as follows:
A. Multiple residence (certificate of compliance).
(1) B1 Permanent Occupancy and B2 Transient Occupancy:
$40 for each of the first three living units and $25 for each additional
living unit.
(2) B3 Senior Citizen and B4 Adult Residential Care: $25
per room.
(3) Annual inspection fees shall be the same as set forth in Subsection
A(1) and
A(2) above.
B. Commercial.
(1) C1 Business (office) and C2 Mercantile: $25 annually
for zero to 2,500 square feet, $50 annually for 2,500 to 5,000 square
feet.
(2) C1 Business (office) and C2 Mercantile: same fee schedule
as industrial/storage/institutional for over 5,000 square feet (see
table below).
(3) C3 Industrial, C4 Storage and C6 Institutional:
