Every person convicted of a parking violation under this chapter or any supplement thereto shall be liable to a penalty of no more than $50. Every person convicted of a violation other than parking under this chapter or any supplement thereto shall be liable to a penalty of $200 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.
