The President shall be the chief executive officer of the Board. He shall preside at all meetings of the Board, shall appoint all committees, shall appoint all officers and staff members with the consent of the Board and shall exercise such other powers as may, by law or by resolution, be vested in him. The President shall represent the Board in all executive and judicial matters during the interval between meetings.
The Vice President, in the absence, disability or disqualification of the President, shall serve in the place of said President with all his power and duties. The Vice President shall discharge all committee and other assignments given to him by the President or the Board.
The members shall attend all regular and special meetings of the Board and participate in the business of the Board. They shall discharge all committee and other assignments given to them by the President or the Board.
The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all proceedings of the Board, shall conduct all official correspondence of the Board and shall maintain files of all reports and correspondence submitted to and by the Board. He shall prepare such reports as may be required or directed by the Board and shall keep complete records of all applications for permits and licenses received and approved and pertinent information thereto. He shall also perform such other duties as directed by the Board.
The Health Officer shall be the chief of staff of the Board. He shall discharge the duties of his office as required under state statutes, State Health Department Codes and other ordinances and regulations, by this code and all other Borough ordinances and regulations and by the Board. He shall be vested with the power and authority to direct any and all inspections or examinations required by state or Borough regulations and the enforcement thereof. He shall submit a written report of activities at periodic intervals designated by the Board.
The Sanitary Inspectors shall discharge the duties required under the state statutes, State Health Department Codes and other regulations, by this code and all other Borough ordinances and regulations, by the Board and by the Health Officer. They shall be vested with the power and authority to make any and all inspections or examinations required by State Health Department or Borough regulations, except for plumbing inspections. The Board may designate a Sanitary Inspector to act for the Health Officer in his absence or incapacitation, as may be permitted under the prevailing regulations.
The Plumbing Inspectors shall discharge the duties as required under state statutes, State Health Department codes and other regulations, by this code and all other Borough ordinances and regulations, by the Board and by the Health Officer. They shall be vested with the power and authority to make any and all inspections or examinations required by state, State Health Department or Borough regulations as fall within their purview.
The Registrar of Vital Statistics shall keep and safeguard all records as required by the state, the State Health Department, the Borough and the Board. He shall issue such licenses, certificates and records as he may be authorized by law, and he shall submit such written reports as may be required by the State Health Department. He shall also perform such other duties as directed by the Board and the State Health Department. [1]
