There is hereby created positions of Swimming Pool Manager and Assistant Swimming Pool Manager. Said positions shall be either full- or part-time as determined by the governing body annually. Appointments to these positions shall be made by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council. A vacancy in either office shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.
A. 
The Swimming Pool Manager shall be the chief executive officer of the swimming pool and shall perform any and all duties necessary and responsible to effectuate the smooth and efficient operation of the swimming pool. The Swimming Pool Manager shall have all duties which normally accompany a Chief Administrative Officer, and all employees of the swimming pool shall be subject to his direction.
B. 
The Swimming Pool Manager shall have the power to hire, suspend and/or terminate all lifeguards and other employees subject to law. The Swimming Pool Manager shall prepare a proposed budget and plan for the swimming pool annually and submit same to the Mayor and Council and submit his recommendations for same to the Mayor and Council by February 28 of each year. The Swimming Pool Manager shall, in concert with the Swimming Pool Attorney prepare necessary specifications for bids of all services, equipment and/or supplies needed by the pool in each fiscal year and submit same to the governing body for approval and enactment. The Swimming Pool Manager shall be responsible for the acquisition of all materials, supplies and services necessary for the smooth and effective operation of the swimming pool subject to budgetary constraints and applicable state statutes. The Swimming Pool Manager shall be responsible for determining the hours of all employees and the hours of operation of the pool and be responsible for the enforcement of the rules and regulations of the swimming pool.
A. 
There is hereby created the position of Assistant Swimming Pool Manager. The Assistant Swimming Pool Manager shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council.
B. 
The Assistant Swimming Pool Manager shall be responsible for all duties as assigned to him by the Swimming Pool Manager and, in the absence, vacancy or incapacity of the Swimming Pool Manager, perform all those duties as set forth above for the Swimming Pool Manager.
The Swimming Pool Manager and Assistant Swimming Pool Manager shall be paid in accordance with the Annual Salary Ordinance as the same shall be adopted and amended by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Palisades Park.[1]
