110, Art. III, of the 1980 Code)]
This article is adopted pursuant to the provisions
of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York and § 1660
of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
The definitions contained in the Vehicle and
Traffic Law of the State of New York shall apply to this article in
all respects.
A. Any vehicle with a gross weight of over three tons
is hereby excluded from traveling the Town roads known as "Grenell
Drive."
B. Any vehicle with a gross weight of over four tons
is hereby excluded from traveling the Town roads known as "Archer
Road," "Beaver Road Extension," "Old Scottsville-Chili Road," "Chestnut
Drive," "Rose Road," "Omega Drive," "Emerald Point," "Fisher Road,"
"Weidner Road" (between Fisher Road and Beahan Road) and "Chili Avenue
Extension."
C. These exclusions of vehicles shall take effect upon
the erection of signs in accordance with § 1660 of the Vehicle
and Traffic Law and shall remain in effect until the removal of said
signs is directed by the Town Board of the Town of Chili.
D. The Town Board may entertain applications for permits
for appropriate exemptions from these exclusions in accordance with
§ 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
A violation of this article shall constitute
a traffic infraction and shall be punishable in accordance with the
provisions of § 1800 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
