The Commissioners of the Township of Springfield
hereby dedicate the hereinafter described parcels and pieces of ground
to the use of the citizens of the Township of Springfield for and
as and to be used as a public park, indoor recreation center, public
bath, pleasure walks, drives, indoor and outdoor skating, parkway,
playing fields, swimming pool, gymnasium, indoor and outdoor auditorium,
arboretum, wildlife and wild flower preserve and open areas and for
the general purpose of recreational and diversional use by the citizens
of the Township of Springfield. Said tracts, parcels or pieces of
ground herein dedicated are more particularly described as follows:

and privileges which the Commissioners of Springfield Township accrued
in the former Levis Lane abutting the various parcels comprising Ellson
Glen Park. All that certain lot or piece of ground situate in the
Township of Springfield, County of Delaware, State of Pennsylvania,
and described in accordance with a certain plan of Ellson Glen Park,
prepared by the Springfield Township Engineering Department, dated
March 22, 1978: beginning at an interior point, which said point is
measured the four (4) following courses and distances from the point
of intersection of the southeast side of Colonial Park Drive (50 feet
wide) with the southerly side of Valley View Road (50 feet wide) extended:
(1) North 76º 26' 20" west 570.82 feet from a point thence; (2)
North 12º 25' 40" east 252.75 feet from a point thence; (3) South
86º 02' 30" east 90.73 feet from a point of curve thence; (4)
Along the arc of a curve with a radius of 25 feet the arc distance
of 32.12 feet; thence extending from said point of beginning north
9º 25' 40" east 268.61 feet to a point, thence extending north
88º 41' 40" east 46.65 feet to a point, thence extending south
12º 45' 29" west 279.90 feet to a point, thence extending north
76º 26' 20" west 29.65 feet to the point and place of beginning,
being a portion of the bed of Levis Lane.

The Commissioners of the Township of Springfield
reserve the necessary easements and rights-of-way for the purpose
of constructing, maintaining and repairing a system or systems of
light, electric power, telephone, television and telegraph line or
lines, gas, sewers, water or any other utility across said tracts,
parcels or pieces of ground at such future time or times and in such
place or places as may, in the judgment of the Commissioners of Springfield
Township, be expedient or necessary in the best interests of said
township.
The provisions of this ordinance shall be severable.
If any of its provisions shall be held to be unconstitutional, illegal
or invalid, such unconstitutionality, illegality or invalidity shall
not affect the validity of any of the remaining provisions of this
ordinance. It is hereby declared as a legislative intent that this
ordinance would have been adopted had such unconstitutional, illegal
or invalid provision not been included therein.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed.
