The Township Treasurer/Tax Collector is hereby authorized to provide tax certification or written status information pertaining to taxes paid or unpaid upon request by any person, firm or corporation, as to the status of real estate taxes levied in the Township and collected by the Township Tax Collector, and the same is authorized herewith to levy a fee for such service in connection therewith, in an amount as indicated in Chapter
40, Fee Schedule, per certification or written status information per tax year. All such fees shall be collected and retained by the Township Treasurer/Tax Collector.

Whenever the Township Treasurer/Tax Collector is requested to provide duplicate bills and receipts pertaining to real estate taxes, he or she is authorized herewith to charge a fee therefor, in an amount as indicated in Chapter
40, Fee Schedule, per tax bill for Township taxes for duplicate school district tax bills, which fee shall be collected and retained by the Township Treasurer/Tax Collector.
If any provision, sentence, clause, section
or part of this ordinance is for any reason found to be unconstitutional,
illegal or invalid, such findings shall not affect or impair any of
the remaining provisions sentences, clauses, sections or parts of
this ordinance. It is hereby declared as the intent of the Township
Commissioners that this ordinance would have been adopted had such
unconstitutional, illegal or invalid provision, sentence, clause,
section or part not been included herein.
The failure of any person requesting certification or written status information to provide the fee once having requested said documents shall subject that person to the penalties provided by Chapter
1, General Provisions, Article
II, General Penalty, §
1-10, Violations and Penalties, Subsection
A(2) thereof.
