The Board of Trustees of the Village of Alexandria
Bay has determined that the uncontrolled use of Village streets, sidewalks,
rights-of-way, parks or public places for public assemblages presents
a potential hazard to the health, safety and welfare of Village residents
by prohibiting or impeding the orderly flow of pedestrian and vehicular
traffic for emergency, business and personal matters. In order to
protect the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Village
of Alexandria Bay, this chapter establishes a means of controlling
and regulating certain public assemblages which might otherwise prohibit
or impede the orderly flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic within
the Village.
This chapter shall be known and may be cited
as the "Parade Permit Law of the Village of Alexandria Bay."
As used in this chapter the following terms

of the Chief of Police, file a written note of acceptance with the
Chief of Police. An alternative parade permit shall conform to the
requirements of and shall have the effect of a parade permit under
this chapter.
Each parade permit shall state the following
information:
A. The starting and ending time.

be occupied by the parade.
C. The maximum length of the parade in miles or fractions
thereof.
