[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Putnam Valley 6-19-1974
by L.L. No. 4-1974 as Chapter 4 of the 1974 Code. Amendments
noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to the provisions of § 1556 of the Real Property
Tax Law,[1] the three offices of Assessor of the Town of Putnam Valley shall
continue and shall be elective, as provided by the law in effect immediately
prior to the effective date of said § 1556.

2 of the Real Property Tax Law.
This chapter shall be submitted for the approval of the electors of
the Town of Putnam Valley at a special election to be held in accordance with
the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Law, except that such special election
shall be held not later than July 1, 1971.[1]
