The Township of Brighton shall join the Upper Beaver Valley Council of Governments, a group of participating municipalities, for the purposes of facilitating agreement and cooperative action on interrelated developmental needs and policies on common regional needs.
The Township of Brighton may withdraw from the Upper Beaver Valley Council of Governments at any time upon 60 days' notice, in writing.
The Township of Brighton shall have equal representation with each of the other participating municipalities upon the General Council of the Upper Beaver Valley Council of Governments as well as upon its Executive Committee.
Annual membership dues shall be fixed by the Executive Committee of the Upper Beaver Valley Council of Governments and approved by a vote of the participating municipalities.
Ownership of any real property shall be taken in the name of a participating municipality. Ownership of personal property shall be taken in the name of the Council. Real property shall be managed by the owner municipality pursuant to contract with the Council. Personal property shall be managed by the Council, and upon sale thereof, the proceeds shall be distributed proratably to those municipalities which contributed to its purchase.
