In accordance with the provisions of Chapter
45 of the General Laws, these rules and regulations are hereby enacted
and shall apply to all Town parks, playgrounds, beaches and recreational
areas.
It shall be unlawful for any person to commit
the following:
A. To destroy, misuse, abuse, deface, remove or otherwise
damage Town property and equipment, including trees, shrubs and decorative
plantings.
B. To molest, disturb, tease, torment, abuse or destroy
animals, birds, fish or any other species of wildlife.
C. To produce amplified or loud music or sound through
the use of radios, tape players, musical instruments or other mechanical,
electrical or electronic equipment capable of producing or amplifying
sound.
D. To sell or offer for sale any goods, wares or merchandise;
to erect any booth, stall, tent, shelter or similar structure; or
to exhibit any advertising devices.
E. To promote, organize, supervise, manage, finance or
participate in any game of chance, lottery or any other form of gambling.
F. To drive or propel any vehicle constructed or designed
for propulsion by power other than muscular power except upon designated
roads and parking areas.
G. To have possession of or discharge any firearms or
fireworks, or to use, explode or cause to explode, any combustible
or explosive composition or substance.
H. To trespass or enter upon any recreational area during
the period of time the same is closed to public use.
Exceptions to the foregoing rules and regulations
may be obtained only through the issuance of a permit by the Select
Board.
The hours for public use of all recreational
areas shall be established and posted by the Select Board or such
other agency as it may authorize.
Whoever shall violate any provision of this bylaw or fails to comply with any of its requirements shall upon conviction thereof be fined not more than $300 for each offense or be subject to noncriminal disposition of the offense pursuant to Chapter
1. If such violation is also a violation of a state law, the penalty for same shall be that which is provided in such state law.
