No person, other than an employee in the service of the commonwealth or the Town of Dalton, or an employee in the service of an independent contractor acting for the commonwealth or the Town, shall pile, push, plow or otherwise move snow or ice onto a public way, sidewalk or crosswalk in the Town so as to impede or obstruct the flow of pedestrian or vehicular traffic on such public way, sidewalk or crosswalk.
Whoever violates any provision of this bylaw shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed $300 for each offense or be subject to noncriminal disposition of the offense pursuant to Chapter 1. Each twenty-four-hour period that the violation continues shall constitute a separate offense. This bylaw shall be enforced by the Dalton Police Chief or designee.
