[Adopted 12-12-1989 by L.L. No. 2-1989 (Ch. 108 of the 1975 Municipal Code)]
Provisions of this article shall apply to the
Board of Appeals for the Town of Southport, the Planning Board for
the Town of Southport and the Board of Assessment Review for the Town
of Southport.
The Town Board by resolution at its Organization
Meeting shall establish the stipend to be paid to each member of the
Board of Appeals, the Planning Board, and the Board of Assessment
Review. That amount shall be established and fixed at an amount for
the attendance by each member of those Boards for each meeting.
Each member of the Board of Appeals, the Planning
Board and the Board of Assessment Review shall be paid according to
the number of meetings attended times the rate established by Town
Board resolution for each meeting. An additional stipend may be paid
to certain members as provided by resolution of the Town Board. The
members of the Board of Appeals and the Planning Board shall be paid
twice per year, every six months, based upon the above-referenced
formula. Members of the Board of Assessment Review shall be paid within
45 days of attendance at a meeting pursuant to the above formula.
