It is not intended by this chapter to repeal, abrogate, annul,
impair, or interfere with any existing easements, covenants, agreements,
rules, regulations or permits previously adopted or issued pursuant
to law. However, where this chapter imposes greater restrictions,
the provisions of this chapter shall govern. However, when the chapter
imposes greater restrictions and those restrictions are subsequently
invalidated by Wisconsin State Statutes, Wisconsin State Statutes
shall prevail as to those limited restrictions without invalidating
the remainder of the provisions of this chapter.
In their interpretation and application, the provisions of this
chapter shall be held to be the minimum requirements and shall be
liberally construed in favor of the Town of New Glarus and shall not
be deemed to be a limitation or repeal of any other power granted
by the Wisconsin Statutes.
This chapter shall be known as, referred to, or cited as the
"Town of New Glarus Subdivision Ordinance" or "Town of New Glarus
Land Division and Subdivision Ordinance."
