The purpose of this TCRO District is to encourage economic development and revitalization of the central business district as described in the revitalization element of the Federalsburg Comprehensive Plan. It is the policy of Federalsburg to expand job opportunities, enhance revenues, and promote general activity in the historic downtown core by relaxing certain restrictions that may hinder economic revitalization. Further, it is public policy to encourage innovative and adaptive reuse of existing buildings and high quality redesign and expansion of buildings and other site improvements to achieve the purposes of the district.
