No person shall swim or bathe publicly in any river, pond or open water without a suitable bathing dress or covering in this Village.[1]

No person shall discharge any firearm, gun, air rifle, spring gun or any gun so constructed as to discharge pellets by compressed air or compressed gas within this municipality, except that this chapter shall not apply to police officers or other persons in the discharge of their official duties, nor to any firing squad at a military funeral or ceremony, nor to any properly constructed range approved by the Chief of Police.
A. 
Pursuant to Subdivision 1 of § 405.00 of the Penal Law of the State of New York, the Mayor and/or Village Board is hereby designated the permit authority to grant and issue permits for the public display of fireworks in accordance with the provisions of § 405.00 of the Penal Law.
B. 
No person shall discharge, explode or set off any fireworks, firecrackers or torpedoes in the Village of Norwood except as provided for in Subsection A of this section.[1]

A. 
No person shall open any fire hydrant in this Village, except a fireman or one acting under the instruction of a fireman attending at a fire, except by permission, in writing, of the Superintendent of Public Works.

B. 
No person shall deposit, cause to be deposited or allow to remain any material so as to obstruct free access to and from any fire hydrant or in any manner to obstruct the area around any fire hydrant, and no person shall damage any hydrant.
C. 
No person shall fasten any animal to any fire hydrant or lamppost in this Village.
D. 
No person shall willfully or maliciously injure, break, destroy or meddle with or in any way or manner render unfit for use any fire hydrant in this Village.[1]

Unless otherwise specified in any of the sections of this chapter, any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be liable to a penalty of an amount not to exceed $250 or imprisonment not to exceed 15 days, or both, for each incident, and each day that the violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate violation.
