For the purpose of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, unless different meanings are clearly indicated by the context:
The residue from burning wood, coal, coke or other combustible materials.
The Director of Public Works of the Village of Victor or his authorized representatives.
A bulk waste material storage container that is designed to be mechanically emptied into a larger compactor-type truck for disposal.
Putrescible animal and vegetable waste resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking and consumption of food in any private dwelling house, multiple dwelling, hotel, restaurant, building or institution.
Garbage, refuse and rubbish, as may be defined herein, and other waste material which is thrown or deposited on property within the Village not in conformance with this chapter and which tends to create a danger to the public health, safety and welfare.
Includes an individual or individuals in partnership or corporations, receivers, executors or administrators of any estate.
A generic waste receptacle such as a garbage can or refuse tote designed to be moved to the point of collection.
Nonputrescible solid wastes (excluding ashes) consisting of yard clippings, paper materials, bottles, tin cans, glass, plastic materials, crockery and similar waste materials.
A specific portable refuse container, purchased through the Village, which has a ninety-six-gallon capacity.
