Editor's Note: The schedules referred to in § 15-1 read as follows:
"Schedule 1, being a complete list of the employees of the said municipality, giving the class, and the jurisdiction service and division, to which the position occupied by each employee has been allocated, and suggested salary ranges; and
"Schedule 2, being a specification for each class established by the aforesaid survey, including a definition of the class, its distinguishing characteristics, examples of work, and the requirements to be applied for recruitment to the class; and
"Schedule 3, being the recommended rules for the installation and administration of civil service procedures in and for the said municipality." referred to herein be and they are hereby made part of this chapter, and the aforesaid schedules be and hereby are approved, and they shall be filed with the Clerk of the said municipality coincident with the passage of this chapter.
The salary ranges setting forth the annual increments are hereby adopted as for each and every class of position mentioned in said schedules, and the increment payments contained therein are contingent on availability of funds.
The Township Committee does reserve the right to pay a salary to any new employee at any figure given in the schedule affecting the new employee, and not necessarily the first figure of said schedule.
The adoption of the above-mentioned provisions shall not operate so as to decrease the present pay of any officer or employee, anything in said schedule to the contrary notwithstanding.
