No impure ice or ice cut from a polluted pond, lake or stream, and no
ice manufactured from impure water shall be used or sold within the Township.
No such ice shall be brought into the Township for the purpose of use or sale.
Before any such permit shall be granted, an application shall be made
to the Division of Health by the party seeking such permit. The application
shall be signed by such party, or, if a corporation, by an authorized agent.
The application shall state the post office address of such party, the name
under which and the place where the ice business is to be conducted, the character
of such business, whether wholesale or retail, the name of the party from
whom the ice is secured, and the places where such ice is cut or manufactured.
The fee for a permit to sell or distribute ice in the Township shall
be $12 for each vehicle or place used in the distribution of ice.
All permits issued under this chapter shall be good only for the calendar
year in which they are obtained.
No vehicle of any kind shall be used at any time by anyone for the sale
or delivery of any ice in the Township unless there is displayed thereon a
tag or plate furnished by the Division of Health, showing that such vehicle
is owned, controlled or used by a party to whom a permit has been granted
in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
Unless another penalty is expressly provided herein, any person who
violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be
punished by a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $1,000, or by imprisonment
for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both. A separate offense shall be deemed
committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
