No person shall fire or discharge or cause to be fired or discharged any pistol, shotgun, rifle or other firearm or weapon within the limits of the Borough, except as follows:
A. 
In any emergency when it may be necessary to do so for the protection of life or property and is otherwise lawful.
B. 
At any rifle, pistol or shooting range equipped with proper safeguards for the protection of life and property and approved by the Mayor and Council.
C. 
By any animal control or law enforcement officer lawfully performing their official duties.
D. 
In accordance with all wildlife management regulations lawfully adopted by resolution or ordinance of the Saddle River Borough Council.
No person shall fire or discharge any gun, revolver, rifle, cannon, pistol or air gun or any other weapon without providing proper safeguards for the protection of life and the property of others.
Violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article III, General Penalty.
Each section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase of this chapter is declared to be an independent section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase, and the finding or holding of any such portion of this section to be unconstitutional, void or ineffective for any cause, or reason, shall not affect any other portion of this chapter.
