The Borough Council of the Borough of Pleasant Hills designates the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as the official newspaper of the Borough of Pleasant Hills for the publishing of legal notices. All matters which are required to be advertised shall be published in this newspaper, so long as said newspaper remains the official newspaper of the Borough of Pleasant Hills and said newspaper remains recognized as a newspaper of general circulation as defined in 45 Pa.C.S.A. § 101 (relating to definitions). The designation of the official newspaper of the Borough of Pleasant Hills may be changed in the future. Such changes may be made at the discretion of Borough Council by enactment of a future ordinance as defined in 45 Pa.C.S.A. § 101 as may be amended.
The Borough Council of the Borough of Pleasant Hills may, at its option, place legal advertising in any other newspaper which it desires, in addition to the official newspaper of the Borough of Pleasant Hills.
That the official newspaper of the Borough of Pleasant Hills shall, at least one time each year, submit documentary evidence to the Secretary of the Borough of Pleasant Hills that it meets the requirements of a newspaper authorized to accept legal advertising, under the provisions of the Newspaper Advertising Act of 1929, May 16, P.L. 1784.
