[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sands Point 1-24-1995 by L.L. No. 3-1995. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Sands Point (hereinafter the "Board") hereby finds that it is beneficial to the Village of Sands Point (hereinafter the "village") and its residents to establish and maintain the newly acquired municipal recreational facility known as the "Village Club of Sands Point" as a self-supporting improvement in accordance with Article 13 of the Village Law of the State of New York. The Board further finds it to be fair and equitable and in the best interest of the village and its residents to limit the use of the golf course and tennis facilities to village residents and, if necessary, nonresidents who pay an annual membership fee for the use and enjoyment of such facilities. The number of nonresidents that may be issued membership for the use of such facilities shall be limited to that which the self-supporting improvement may efficiently and economically serve or accommodate in excess of village residents and as shall be determined. It is, therefore, the intent of the Board of Trustees, in enacting this chapter, to establish and maintain the Village Club of Sands Point as a self-supporting improvement in accordance with Article 13 of the Village Law of the State of New York, to limit and regulate the use thereof and to authorize the imposition of an annual membership fee structure and other charges relating to or arising from the use of the golf course and tennis facilities.
