It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, as defined in § 476 of Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law, upon obtaining the required license, to conduct the game of bingo within the territorial limits of the Village of Weedsport subject to the provisions of this chapter, Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law and Article 19-B of the Executive Law.
The conduct of bingo games in the Village shall be subject to the restrictions set forth in § 479 of the General Municipal Law.
The unauthorized conduct of a bingo game and any willful violation of any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article I, General Penalty, of the Code of the Village of Weedsport.
This chapter shall become effective following its approval by a majority of the qualified electors of the Village of Weedsport voting on a proposition therefor to be submitted at a special election and 10 days after said chapter is published and posted and affidavits of such publication and posting are filed.[1]
