The following recreations, sports or amusements shall be permitted on
Sunday:
B. Athletic and sporting contests or games.
E. Pacing and trotting races (harness racing).
It shall be lawful to charge and collect the same price, admission fees,
game fees or rates on Sunday as are charged for the same recreation, sport
or amusement on other days of the week. Prices or fees shall not be lower
nor higher than those charged on weekdays.
Athletic events and sporting contests or games played out-of-doors shall
be permitted between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 12:00 midnight.
Athletic events and sporting contests or games played indoors shall
be permitted between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 12:00 midnight.
Moving pictures shall be permitted between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and
12:00 midnight.
Bowling, pool and billiards shall be permitted between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 12:00 midnight.
Dancing shall be permitted between the hours of 1:30 p.m. and 12:00
midnight.
Any person, firm or corporation convicted of violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be liable to a fine not exceeding $50 or to imprisonment
for a period not exceeding 30 days, or both, for a first offense; and shall
be liable to a fine of $200 and imprisonment for a period not exceeding 90
days, or both, for a second offense; and if the business of the person, firm
or corporation is one requiring the issuance of a Borough license, such license
may be revoked or suspended as additional punishment, upon the conviction
of a first or a second offense, in addition to any fine or prison term imposed
by the Magistrate.
This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication
according to law, and Sunday recreation, sports or amusements shall not be
permitted until that date.
