It shall be unlawful to burn leaves, brush, rubbish or other matter or to throw, cast or dump the same in, upon or along the public highways of the Borough of Paulsboro, in the County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey.

All burning, bonfires, and residential fire pits vessels/containers shall be UL-approved devices.

Any person or persons violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding the sum of $50 for the first offense; $100 for the second offense and $250 to $500 for subsequent offenses, in the discretion of the officer before whom such offending person may be brought, and in default of the payment of said fine, the said officer may commit the said offender to the county jail, in his discretion, for a period not exceeding 10 days.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately and be known as Ordinance No. 6-1915.
