Whereas, the City of North Tonawanda has not heretofore elected
to continue to enforce the provisions of the Labor Law relating to
places of public assembly, and whereas, the 1962 Legislature amended
Section 472 of the Labor Law by enacting Chapter 441 of the Laws of
1962 and did extend until July 1, 1962 the time which local governments
might elect to continue to enforce such provisions of law, and whereas,
this City of North Tonawanda is desirous of retaining its authority
to enforce such provisions of law and the rules adopted thereunder,
now therefore be it resolved:
The City of North Tonawanda hereby assumes full responsibility
for enforcing the provisions of Article 17 of the Labor Law relating
to public safety, and the rules adopted thereunder by the Industrial
Commissioner of the State of New York.
The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with
the Industrial Commissioner of the State of New York at the State
Office Building, Albany, New York a duly certified copy of this resolution
on or before July 1, 1962.
This resolution shall take effect immediately.
